The European Art Science and Technology Network (EASTN) project is an international initiative using intercultural dialogue in order to develop digital art and its understanding by gaining knowledge on current artistic practices and on new technologies. EASTN wishes to become a starting point for a new European artistic network and for future developments.
The project is organised around three main axes:
1. Encourage artistic practices and exchange among the participants: Twenty European artists in residency will have the opportunity to use advanced technologies with support from the hosts (Act. 1). Five creative workshops will allow participants to train with new tools as well as to collaborate and exchange on new developments in artistic practices (Act. 2).
2. Investigate the relationship between tangible and intangible works.
3. Promote the work of the international participants with seven artistic events (Act. 4) and online communication of the project (website, social media, and exchange platform) (Act. 5).
