Seastates is an auditory work which soniftes the live data of the current sea levels on different locations in the Netherlands.
How it works:
Max/MSP is used to scrape live Sea level data from https://www.rijkswaterstaat.nl. The returned values are organised in categories and mapped to midi notes which are sent to Ableton Live, which handles the sound processing.
